Efficient CDA water-tanker service

Water shortages have become a permanent headache for the residents of Islamabad. Residents have been facing the shortage of the basic commodity whole year. At the moment, there are six water tanker inquiry offices – where water is rationed out to residents of the capital.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) complaint offices start registering complaints from 5am for which the consumers, including women, are required to line up outside the complaint office at midnight. Above 500 complaints are registered at each complaint center on a daily basis and water is supplied to 80 to 100 complainants only while all other complaints go ignored and the people are left with no choice but to once again line up the next midnight or grease the palms of the tanker staff. First preference given to consumers physically present at complaint office then telephone complaints are entertained.

Consumers have to go through painful process of registering water tanker complaint and everyday same process repeated. Consumers have no guarantee to get water after all this process but definite to have mental and physical pain.

With technology we cannot provide water yet but we can give ease to consumers. I want to make Mobile, Web or both apps to make complaint registration one touch process.

Basic App: Mobile, Web or both apps for complaint registration. User provide basic information to register complaint and get back conformation massage with complaint no.

Advance Option 1: Add location - User location can be added by pointing to any location on the map or through mobile GPS. Location information will reduce delivery time and will free water tanker driver’s hassle of finding addresses and waste time and fuel.

Advance Option 2: Routing – Water tanker Routes can be generated from location point information so can reduce delivery time and fuel cost.

Additional Features: Water tanker tracking and water metering can be added to stop corruption.
